At Times It Is Difficult To Stay Positive

I have always been one who believes that being positive is part of my basic makeup. As each day goes by it becomes more and more difficult to continue my honest and absolute self imposed deep rooted positive attitude, something I need, something that is as much a part of me as my breath, my heart, or my soul. Without my positivity, I am not who God made me and so I will continue to fight with all my might to continue to believe in the good of the world and never give in to the corrupt and “looser” nature of those I have little faith in, the “Progressives” of the world!

It seems like just yesterday that America was watching demonstrators in the streets of Egypt, while there were those in the shadows right here in the U.S.A., waiting to go on the offensive and try to emulate what was taking place across Europe, and the Arab world, a move towards overthrowing their governments. Here, it is our own government, at least this Administration and the Progressives in Congress that are encouraging the negativity here in the greatest nation in the world. Why would they do that? Well, if you have been watching “Glenn Beck” you would know the answer to this rhetorical question, for he has been warning us about this for a while now. I must give old Glenn credit, he saw it coming, warned us of the looming misadventures of the “Left Wing” of this country, waiting for their opportunity, while attention is or has been on places outside the borders of this great nation, the Progressives were preparing for what we see taking place right now, and the dangers of missing the attempt to finish off what they started must not be overlooked. Remember, this president, this administration, and the previous Democratic controlled Congress, started their attempt to destroy the America we all know and love.

As I am writing this, I can hear in the background the chanting of demonstrators (Wisconsin Labor “Unions”) who clearly are trying to stir up images of what went on in Egypt and other Arab countries such as one, who has always been a strong friend of the U.S., Bahrain, and now there is talk that the “Labor Unrest” could go “National”. As I document my thoughts, I have “Fox News” keeping me informed as to what is going on and knowing that what I am hearing, is coming from Fox News, I know that I can count on what is being reported as being accurate and true. Our own President, who is linked to “Workers of the world” (a Marxist/Communist) orientated organization, through his ties with “Andy Stern”, the most frequent guest of the White House. I think that is something that all of us should be a little concerned about.

As the news being broadcast around the world becomes more and more depressing, with news of nothing but bleak and ominous events that analysts and “talking heads” all try and decide for us what it all means, we can only sit and wonder as we listen, taking in what is reported and try and decipher what is real and true and what is not. No one is getting it all right, no one has a handle on the truth and that is enough to disturb any of us! The important thing for me is that we do not allow all this very depressing and discouraging information that we are processing to become our reality and forget that we have something so much more important in our lives to be thinking about in times of trouble and anguish, it called “Faith”, a strong belief in a loving and caring God that will bring us to a good conclusion at some point, just about when we thing that all is going bad and nothing we do will correct the direction of current events. I just cannot believe that my God will give up on us if we are faithfully saying our prayers to him, letting him know that we are here and we believe in him.

This very self proclaimed “Optimist”, who I truly believe that I am, will not just lay down and die, believing that God failed us, failed me, and there is no hope for a future that holds anything good in it. No, I just will not allow my mind to go there, for if I do, then I am conceding that God is not all powerful, all good, all giving, all knowing and our one and only true God. If I do that, than I am the hypocrite I suggest that most “Progressives” are, I have not only failed myself, I fail God, the God I believe in, who gives me strength and gives me love. I will have failed the God who protected me so many times when I was a young soldier in Vietnam, leaving behind my young wife from England, and newborn child, only a month old, only to die somewhere, as so many others did, on foreign soil, never to know the wonder of their growing up, and watching them show me why I should be so proud of them. No, chose to be the optimistic and positive person that my creator made me. I love my God, I trust my God, I believe and know my God and I will not turn my back on him and say that the America he gave us is not worth protecting and keeping whole, as it was meant to be, so that we all can share time here on earth, with our families, joining together to ensure that those who would destroy what God has made and given to us, will fail. At this moment in time they “The Progressives” are feeling embolden to start their “Revolution” in their attempt, supported by this current President and administration, to “Transform” our America into a true failed state, a “Socialist” governed country, to join the “Workers of the world” in their quest to create “One World Concept” with one currency, one government, one “Ruler” and one “Failed Transformation” of our America! No, and I know I repeat myself, but I say no and no again to all those who refuse to see the good in the world and only see the gloom and doom of those who know nothing of the God that provides us a very positive world and future, but we must ask for it, we must “Pray” for it, failure to do both will almost assure that our positive outlook will fail to overtake the very negative outlook of those who are very determined!

So, I am reaching out to all those in the “Positive” world that I live in, to pray, to ask, and plead for our loving God to have mercy on us and save us from what appears to be an almost certain and very negative end to what is formulating in front of our very eyes. Together we have the power to overcome any obstacle; together we can win battle, and the almost overwhelming odds in front of us will disappear behind the power of an incredible God, who loves his children, and all we have to do is ask, pray, and trust that our God will hear and answer our prayers. God really is an amazing God, one who can show us the way, but it requires us to truly trust in his wisdom and mercy, after all, he created us, this world, and gave us our nation, for us to love and protect. Knowing this, how could we even consider failing him by losing our faith in him.

I am reaching out to every member of NWW, the 9/12 Group, the Tea Party Patriots, and every American who loves this country, to join with me and using the gift God gave us, life, to breathe new life into the movement America started a couple of years ago, and not let up for one second, not ever, for it is up to “We The People” to do what needs to be done, to get the job done in ridding our Government of the “Progressives” who would turn this great free nation into a Socialist State, and I know that we and I mean “We The People” will just not let that happen! We can’t, we must not fail. We should not worry, we all know that God will be there with us to lead the way to restoring honor to our nation, and help us to prepare to defend our nation against all those who might consider for one moment that we do not have the resolve to defeat any attempt to attack or harm our nation or our fellow Americans. God bless us all and God be with each of us as we start again our journey to protect America from those who might harm us or “Transform” her, we just can’t allow that to happen.

A Tea Party In Egypt?

In March of 2009 the “Tea Party Movement” started here in America, and what the world observed was a peaceful dissent that caused the house from Progressive rule to Republican power, all without any violence, other than what was brought on by the Progressives. I believe that is exactly what you are seeing take place in Egypt. In my heart I think they took our lead, saw it can be done and after the police killed someone who they were not happy with, a “Tweet” heard around the world started what culminated today with the “President” of Egypt stepping down, something that will either wind up in a democracy being born in the Middle East, or the Muslim Brotherhood gaining control of even more of that area of the world, leaving Israel in real peril.

Say what you might about President Bush, liberating millions of people in Iraq and Afghanistan, may have been the price paid to start this peaceful movement towards a Western Democracy to a place where only Dictators, Kings, and Pharaohs ruled for more years that I can count in my small head. If you consider the “Tea Party Movement” and observing freedom being gained around them, Egypt may have, like others appear to be considering around that part of the world. Freedom is contagious, and peaceful dissent is proving a means to find that freedom, but it is only one baby step towards getting to the end of the road to what we have known for a couple of hundred years, and they have not known for thousands.

So, let us pray for the Egyptian people and pray that they win what we have, not what the Muslim Brotherhood would bring to them. They want what we have, let’s help them get their through prayer; it will be to our benefit and the worlds. Egypt has their “Tea Party Movement”! (I wonder, has Glenn Beck taken his chalk boards to Egypt?)

God is still t he answer

If you are paying attention to what is happening all over the Middle East, as I am, especially in Egypt, then you must be just a little afraid of what the future holds in store for us, and when I say “us” I mean mankind. Well, as difficult as it is, I know it is for me, while the picture being painted continues to appear bleaker and bleaker, for some reason I still see a bright spot, a light that has filled my heart from a very young age, it’s called “Faith”. God has a thing for testing man’s faith from time to time, and sometimes the test can be almost overpowering, and a fear can easily creep into one’s heart and cause deep depression to set in, but that’s when that glimmer of light, always present, but sometimes hard to see due to the darkness of the days surrounding us during these times we are truly tested. As bad as it is or sounds in the news, I still see a light, a ray of light cutting through the darkness and nearly blinding me. If you believe, as I do, in a God who will protect us from what many insist is going to happen, then like me, your fears are not as great as those who don’t know what “faith” is or the power of faith.

If you go along with those that say Egypt, and all those countries now in turmoil, means that the world as we know it is about to collapse and “Extremist Muslims” are going to take over the world and we “Christians” will be tortured and mutilated as those of that “Extreme Muslim” religion (if you can call such hatred a religion) enslave us, then I guess we don’t believe in the same God who blessed us, gave us this great country, and guided us to a “Republic” that is unmatched by any other form of government anywhere in the world. No, I am not blind, nor stupid, and I am not ignorant to what is happening, I just have a different view of the outcome. It is possible that God will turn his back on those he blessed, but somehow I don’t see it, I see a light, a ray of light that gives me a peace in side, a belief that my creator however angry he might be for the way so many of us have messed up his gift, his love for his children will result in his forgiveness and a way out of what appears to be hopelessness will come to light, and we will find our way out of the darkness. I have always been “Optimistic” when it comes to our future, if I have been weak, and surely I have, than I ask that God forgives me, and guides me back to the shelter of his love.

I don’t have any answers, and I don’t know how it all ends, but I do know that God gave his only son, who suffered and died for all of us and he only asks that we accept that and we will be saved. As a Christian we either believe in his power or we don’t, and if we don’t, I guess we are not really the Christians we claim to be. I know many will pay a price for the path that those now in “Power” (Governing our country) have chosen to take us down, but their reward will not be forgotten by our creator, we just have to know that he loves us and will be waiting for us should he choose to allow the worst to happen, but I see only goodness if we do what needs to be done and put good Christian Conservatives into place come Nov., 2012, and that includes the Whitehouse!

I can see that a couple of years ago many lost faith and hope, looked for answers in a false prophet, heard “Change and Hope” and voted for something that was not there. Rather than trust in God, many turned to a man, a man called “Obama” and this could not have made our creator very happy after giving so much. We either believe or we don’t, there is no other answer, and the outcome will be determined on what we do as Christians in the coming days. I choose “God”, and I think most of those on this site will choose the same. Glenn Beck has been trying to tell those who still don’t get it, that it is up to us, each of us, individually, and collectedly, we must look for the answer in “Prayer” and our faith in God, who in his wisdom will guide us away from the darkness of where we currently are. There is a light, we just have to look.

So often we have a tendency to look for complicated answers when the answers are often very simple, and usually as simple as a “Prayer”, each of us say sometime during our day. I have always looked to prayer for answers to my challenges, and always, and I mean always, I have found that the answer lay in simple words uttered to “God”. I have always believed that he hears our prayers, and he always answers them, we just fail to understand the answer at times. Well, we must not fail to understand the answer when he gives us them in these times of great need. As a child my prayers were simple and my answers were simple, but always an answer was given, and as I grew older, my prayers became more complex, and so the answers were also at times complex, but always an answer given, and always an answer I could understand. God has been and is now the answer, we just need to realize it, and let him know we believe.

When we lost our youngest son, he was only 36, it was prayer that brought us the peace, and the three doves that came brought with them our needed answer (a whole column was written on the story of my son’s passing and the gift of three pure white doves was told and can be found by going to: http://nowewont.ning.com/group/gregorystwoamericas/forum/topics/when-we-said-goodbye-god-said )Answers are not always that obvious, but one thing obvious to me is that there is always an answer.

So, as I come to an end of this heartfelt thought, I ask that we all keep our faith, and know that God will not let us down, but we must not let him down either, if he gives us the answer we are looking for, it will be up to us to take his “Second Chance” and ensure that we never let him down again, and make sure that we don’t just vote because we think we will gain something for nothing, but vote because our vote will better the outcome of this great nation God blessed us with. I have always felt and known that God was and is the answer, and if you don’t know that, I think you might be on the wrong site. Tonight and every night Val and I will be praying for all those who gave so much so that we might continue to enjoy our freedoms, and we will pray that all Christian Conservatives wake up and all pray together for our country, and know that if we do, God will hear us, and he will give us the answer, one we will be happy with.

Remembering How Good It Was

I love to go back into my mind and recall those days when all those I worked with knew just who they were and what they stood for. Men, like me, who enlisted into what was then the “Army Security Agency” or (ASA), later to become the U.S. Army “Intelligence and Security Command” or (INSCOM). Each of us knew that we were going to be gathering intelligence, analyze intelligence, and providing what was called the “product” to one of the “Agencies”, depending on who was requesting the data that we would protect with our lives, after all, they were “Secrets” then, unlike today when if one of our spineless servicemen did not pass it to one of our enemies, then certainly today someone in our own “Government” would release it! Oh, to relive those good old days when we all knew the bad guys were really bad and we, the “Americans”, and yes, our Allies, who we would never think of betraying, were the good guys, and we all loved being the good guys…..

When I go back into the depths of my mind, I often think of a couple of things that I have written about before, but during times like this, it is worth going back and reliving some of those days again, actually, I miss them, along with those patriots I was so lucky to have worked with over the years. For me, once trained, it all started when I went to England, married my wife, and would soon go to Greece, then Vietnam, and then I think about traveling to East Africa, on the way we had to fly over Beirut Lebanon, now that was something to recall. Even though it was 1968, Israel and Lebanon were not exactly getting along, and I was not allowed to fly over Egypt and other countries due to what I carried with me, but Lebanon, well, we had to land there for some reason and I recall that landing as well as I would flying into Asmara Ethiopia. There were bomb craters in the runway from Israel shelling Beirut in response to taking fire from them. I tried to imagine the pilot trying to maneuver the aircraft around and/or between the craters and all of us were unsure what to expect as the landing was not one of choice but forced by a very unfriendly Lebanon Government, who made us all get off the craft, leaving all of our belongings behind, then crowding us into a small room where we had to wait as the armed Lebanese soldiers searched the plane, then each of us as we reentered the plane. I was more amazed at how calm my wife was, knowing how afraid she had to be. The unknown is always something that will make the bravest of us feel a little fear, and anyone who denies that is someone who fails to know what the truth is or is ashamed of facing it. But we made it out all together without any further incident and were soon back on our way to the land of thirteen months of sunshine, “Ethiopia”.

Looking back on those days when keeping secrets meant not only keeping yours, but your “Allies” who were with you in this fight against terrorism, oh yea, we had a war on terror even back then, we also had a government who did not compromise our secrets, nor give away our friends secrets to win over an enemy’s favor! I fail to understand what has happened that the general population of the United States of America changed in their thinking, changed enough to elect “Progressives” into power, not only in Congress, both house and senate, but the Whitehouse! Where did we go wrong, this is a rhetorical question that need not be answered, for any answer would be wild speculation and I have had enough of that to fill a life time, the truth is what it is and nothing can change that, only further confuse this simple mind of mine. I can recall standing back to back with men who were men, not afraid to give it all to keep our country safe and secure, never consider selling it out as our own President has done by stabbing our best friend and Ally in the back by giving Britain’s nuclear secrets to the Russians to win over their agreement to sign a new SALT agreement. Why, no how could we do that to our friends, again, a rhetorical question that needs no answer. I worked with the Brits in England, Germany, Greece, East Africa, and places I cannot say. I would be to ashamed to look any of those I worked with in the eye today, they trusted us, as we did them, but I would bet my last dollar bill that they have not sold us out, for any reason. That is not the British way, they have honor, and at one time I know we did as well.

I keep hearing about how our “Intelligence” failed to see what was coming in the Middle East, especially “Egypt”, just as “Intelligence” was to blame for Iraq, and many other failures by our Government. I just don’t buy that, I know what we did, could do, and I know how good we were, and I know with every beat of my heart that our Intelligence men and women did not make mistakes like those they are accused of. No one will ever convince me those wonderful, bright and well trained men and women, who give so much to keep our nation free, make those kinds of mistakes. It just does not happen, not when I was in, and I don’t believe that those wonderful heroes are any different when it comes to making sure they get it right the first time, because in that business you seldom get a second chance! Our failures come from a little higher up than those out in the field. It comes from the “Policy Makers” and they pass the buck to those who put their lives at risk to collect, analyze and disseminate that critical information called “Intelligence” with classifications such as “Confidential”, “Secret”, “Top Secret” with Top Secret having caveats such as SI (Special Intelligence) – That is what I was involved with – and that included “Code Word” classifications which I cannot go into. I worked and trained in most of the disciplines, (SIGINT) – (COMENT) – AND (HUMENT), all very specific and required specialized training, and those I knew in that business were all skilled and effective, and we just did not make mistakes, and although we did not get it all, we seldom failed to get what we had to and that is just a fact! How a government can criticize our Intelligence Community when it is our very Government Officials, from the halls of Congress, to the Whitehouse, that compromise what we should hold sacred, safeguard with our lives, as many of us did, but not those in “high places”, they just point the finger, knowing that we took our oaths far more serious than many of them, so we could not confirm or deny any accusations made as to our successes or failures, and I can tell you that in our day, back in the 20 plus years I served, we did not have the kind of failures our young men and women are accused of today, by those high and mighty “Progressives” who sell out our friends, and even our own wonderful patriot heroes.
Yes, recalling those good old days has always been good for me, as so many will never be known for what they gave to protect the interests of our great nation. But I actually don’t like to think about those who have been elected to govern, then like the spineless weaklings that they are, screw things up, then blame those who will not, cannot defend themselves, for they took an oath, an oath to say nothing, suck it up and take whatever is thrown at them. Yes they took their oaths, and they kept the oaths they swore to keep, but did those in “High Places” do the same? I wonder why no one holds them accountable………….?

I do remember how good it was, and it really was!
